Heather Ingersoll lives in Seattle, Washington and loves bread! Her journey with bread began on Christmas morning in 2007 with a failed batch on Cinnamon Raisin Swirl bread (the house was freezing cold and the bread did not rise). Since then she has has plenty of successful loafs to make up for it. Today she works in the outdoor industry and bakes to feed her family a healthy alternative to preservative laden, mass produced, bread. After you start baking your own bread, the pre-sliced cardboard at the grocery store pales in comparison.

Heather firmly believes in local, organic and homemade. She buys her grains from The Grainery in Burien, WA and makes as much from scratch with local ingredients as she can. Her garden is just a couple seasons old, but often recipes include with those super fresh ingredients. She moves towards self sufficient living a little more each year.
